I have been trying for many months to try and find out the identity of the Buccaneer nose in the picture below.
The section is painted in overall Yellow with the wording Buccaneer in Red just below the canopy.
It is seen here with a Silver Gnat which had the tail code of 6 at Shackletons scrapyard in Halifax in 1976.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I think this buccaneer may be S.1 XK491 as this aircraft was a foulness in 1974 but the nose section moved to Brough which coincidentally is were Gnat T.1 XM696 was used for wind tunnel experiments. Both these aircraft were cleared from the airfield by February 1976 and the Gnat ended up at the scrap yard in Halifax with an unidentified Buccaneer nose, if you do the math….
