Theres one at Scampton.. where other 2?:confused:

Sorry…I’ll rephrase this :o….. nearest to capable of returning to flight that I know of…. having been Intimately involved with ‘558s return, I know the hoops that would have to be jumped through to get it airbourne 🙂

I thought the one at Scampton would be mentioned! There is a huge difference between a restoration candidate and being airworthy. The Scampton aircraft is still a long way from being airworthy.

I imagine the second one that will get mentioned is the one with the Foxhunter nose… Again… Its nothing like being airworthy, though I understand it would be a candidate for restoration.

Without the magic bit of paper all these aircraft are nothing more than ground runners.

Not sure where the third one is?!!!

Took the Arna’s for granted when they flew around the Moray skies, but now miss them terribly…

Very nice :). It looked a fast and gentle display to me… just how it should be with an historic machine.
Presume the pilot is ex Thunder City too?!

What a stunning display! I can barely imagine just how loud that all was. Well done to the new owner and crew for getting her back up where she belongs: in the air before a crowd.

re;

By the time i went to my 1st airshow, the Bucc was out of service. I wish i had been around to have seen them, we had Lightnings and f4s overhead all the time as a child but i couldn’t afford airshows till i got my paper round

Very nice. I assume this is one of the Thunder City aircraft, any of the
others flying ?

I haven’t been keeping tabs on the happenings there.
