The Quicksinker isn’t sunk yet! I only ran the Spey in the space frame for the team last year! The frame is much more complete now with high power runs set to take place in July this year.

Dont write it off just yet!

Seems they won’t let it fly in the UK 🙁

If on a military contract (Like the HHA Hunters) then it flie sunder military regulations and military serial, no input from CAA.

Thought the engines from this were being used by the Coniston Cowboy & his Quicksinker world water speed record boat?

The mod is fairly easy to remove, but grafting on the original (which they also have), will be expensive and labour intensive.

The biggest issue with the aircraft, is the lack of serviceable spares to be able to keep her going.

Thunder City are already aware of 897, as for price, not sure, I will find out.

Ah… I thought that had been resolved… At least as far as 885 is concerned?

With such a low houred good FI time remaining airframe, surely it would be interesting to South Africa?

It’s no more amazing than what Canberra WJ643 had to put up with when flying with the Ferranti Flying Unit out of Turnhouse back in the sixties – the Airpass radar from the Lightning for example

Here is the latest photo of her from Airliners.

Amazing that she was allowed to fly around as a test aircraft, but let Mr.Private Test Pilot try and fly it, oh no, oh no!:p

Just send them an e-mail to make sure they see the ad 🙂 Don’t know if it’s hard to de-mod the nose, but I kinda like the looks 🙂

Good idea Fouga, also would it be really hard to de-mod her nose?

She has just over 900 hours on the airframe and remarkably, used just 15 F.I, meaning she still has 201 F.I left!!!!!

Wouldn’t this make her VERY interesting to Thunder city? How are her engines?

The aircraft in question is XX897, which currently located outside at Bournemouth Airport.
She has just over 900 hours on the airframe and remarkably, used just 15 F.I, meaning she still has 201 F.I left!!!!!

Biggest issue is the heavily modded nose she sports, which is why an attempt to get her flying in the UK will be twarted.
