I just saw a few pictures of Duxford’s Buccaneer XV865. It looks like it might have been moved into one of the restoration areas..maybe a repaint is in the works? Anyone seen any similar movements on XV865..
And what kind of paint job will their AVRO CF-100 finally appear in? She was masked and ready for paint in some pictures taken recently.:)

Antony – the Hunter you refer to is at Spanoe Lodge and belongs to Paul Smith. She might well be moving again shortly. I think the one your thinking of is the F.4 that used to be at Duxford and is now for sale at Scampton .

I thought that Hunter was bought by someone at Spanhoe.
I think the CF-100 should have been polished bare metal with Canadian national markings on it. They went to all that trouble of stripping evey inch of it. I think they are just painting back in the same markings. It would probably be still flying if Ormond Haydon-Baillie was alive.

I think the Hunter you’re talking about was parked out on the far side of the airfield at Legends last year? This is F.6 XF375 owned by OFMC for a long time, and even had a civvy G-reg at one point, but nothing came of it.She’s now in storage at Scampton and up for sale.

Oh well, it’s about time that it’s being repainted!!!!!!! It has been in a bad way for a long time and should really have been a priority……..
There is also a Hunter at Duxford that needs painting badly (or there was last time I was there last year anyway), has this been done yet, or indeed is this part of the IWM or just parked there waiting to be moved on???????
Paul.
