I managed to find and scan two more of my photos of the Buchon at Wanaka in 1992. Thought a few Buchon fans might appreciate…

Spinner was in the hanger unpainted (next to the coffee and biscuits)

Still needs a bit of work – I’ll give her the number for Michael Jackson’s surgeon 😉

Nice pictures.
But, when some owner will have a Buchon is resprayed in the correct Spanish colour scheme?

Breighton was certainly fantastic today. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion I was just a car or two away from you to your left at the end of the day Hatton… face was familiar but just couldn’t place it – realise now I’d seen the face on a posting here somewhere!
You may well have been. My dads’ car is a blue vauxhall vectra, we were parked near a polished aluminium high wing monoplane in the light aircraft park. I was the one who was struggling to keep the hair out of my eyes whilst taking photos 🙂 Was certainly a great day, will post my photos up in a couple of weeks when I get back to my own computer. This one is slightly too old to hook up to my digital camera. The Hurricane and Spitfires displays were certainly energetic, particularly the west-east passes where the banked around from behind the ground. The highlight for me though was the Mew Gull which I’d never had the pleasure of seeing before.

I’m hoping someone will buy one of ‘Connie’ Edwards’ Buchons and get it up and running again – in full BofB film markings! 🙂

Well, It was intended to fly this year. But it has structural problems. There is some work to be done at its tail. (new parts need to be made). The owner said it would fly this year, but with this ‘new’ tailproblem, this will not be possible. I even have some doubts that it may fly in the near future.
I only hope the current owner still wants to bring his magnifficent plane in full airworthy condition. But there will be updates on this forum when we can get clear news about the aircrafts condition and the plans of the owner.
I hope it can fly soon!

Now the count-down to the first flight can realy start. Wonderfull work!
The Luftwaffe will return on the european scene with this plane, Glenn Lacey and the new Built FW190’s. There is a bright future for the Luftwaffe-fans!

I had a great day too. First time at Breighton and first time at an event that size.
Missed the Buchon taxi as I was at my car (and on) most of the afternoon.
Some fantastic flying especially the Mustangs (I’m a bit biased though) and the Spitfire and Hurricane. Mew Gull was very impressive too.
