Budgie XW750

Has the Series One 748 joined Aeroventure?

With the aircraft taking up an Amercan registration N748D seemed a bit odd in some ways but a B class regestration would be harder to get finance wise and it could not take up its civil registration so an American one was the cheapest option for the aircraft to fly up to Dancaster after the auction.

A bit of an insult for a british aircraft to take on a registration just to position the aircraft for less than an hours flying time from it old resting place to its new home.

We know Doncaster is better know to some of us as R.A.F. Finningley did this have some say in the matter,

Hope the Budgie stays in an healthy state as that is how i met my wife, through a Budgie, it was when Dan Air based One down in the Islands (long live the airborne budgie )they are dwindling now after Emerald will a Budgie ever fly again for a British Carrier?.

I saw it outside one of the hangers a couple of weeks ago and haxe been told there was a 748 seen on approach a few days after that. can anyone confirm it was this one?. btw, its still in its RAF colours but i couldn’t see any roundels on it. I am pretty certain its not destined for Aeroventure.

I believe it’s due to go into one of the hangars at Finningley as a training aid.
