Build your own Airforce

This is just for fun and I like to do these sort of things.

Build your own airforce. Your enemy is right next to you, you have limited ammount of money to spend and you have to defend your country.

Your enemy:
-Has a large number of 4th generation aircraft, something like the F-15C or Gripen aircraft.
-Also a large number of Attack Helicopters for CAS something like the PAH-2 Tiger for example
-Has a decent sized fleet of Submarines
-Humongous fleet of surface ships including one Medium/large Sized Aircraft Carrier armed also with 4th generation Aircraft something like the Su-33 for example
-Large Army of tanks, armored vehicles, mobile SAMs, MANPADS, etc(anything that a modern army might have).

You already have:
-a smaller fleet of submarines
-decent fleet of surface ships and one medium sized Aircraft Carrier(can operate about 5 helicopters, 25 smaller sized aircraft[maybe like A-4 or Harrier types for example], 20 medium sized aircraft[like F-18 or Mig-29 for ex] or 15 bigger sized aircraft[like F-14 or Su-33 for example])
-An Army that is about 25% smaller than your enemy’s except it has no lift capacity to effectively transport it’s troops around and has no close air support from the AF or any utility/transport helicopters to deliver the necessary supplies to the front lines.
-Airfields, two thirds of them are normal airfields with normal runaways, the other third are unprepared and a few are short.

You must:
-give your ground troops CAS(either helicopters, fixed wing or something else)
-you must provide your troops with a lift capacity, at least a medium sized transport like C-130(not light sized)
-provide troops with helicopters for resupplying, transport etc(utility)
-must effectively counter your enemy’s Navy with your AF
-obviously create an AF to counter your enemy’s
-must have training aircraft, including Jet Trainers and Basic Turboprop Trainers

Rules
-You cannot choose 5th generation fighters/aircraft like the F-35, F-22 or Mig-1.44 or any of that sort
-The Aircraft you are choosing must be in service with any country in the World or will be entering service soon or might be entering soon, for ex you can choose an LCA but cannot choose something like an Super Mirage 4000 for example because it’s totally gone.
-You may buy any sort of Aircraft but it is not recommended to buy something like F-117s(more than 200mn each I believe) or B-2s(about 2bn each ), you could also have hi/low mixes, all up to you.
-Be reasonable when spending money.
-Paying your troops and other things are not included, Cost of aircraft is not included but you should be reasonable with the aircraft you pick.(like you wouldn’t want to pick somethings that extremely expensive and extremely expensive to operate and hard to maintain)
-This does not include Air Defenses but you could buy short/medium/long ranged SAMs.

Build the best airforce and thinking of all the costs and performance.

——————————————-
Here is my AF:

Mig-29SMT: for A2A, Strike and Anti-Shipping. It is cheap to buy therefore can be gotten in bigger numbers, great aircraft with good capabilities, can operate from most airfields, ie semi prepared or unprepared so not much scare from cruise missile attacks. Armed with R-77s, R-73s, Yakhnot-Ms or other anti shipping missiles and all kinds of air to surface ordinance

Mig-29K: for Carriers, just as ^^^. Also operating a similar type greatly reduces maintenance/logistic/support costs.

Su-39: for heavy CAS and strike along with Mig-29SMTs. It is rugged, great performance and survavibility and can also operate from unprepared airfields(I think!). It is also pretty cheap to buy

AH-6J Little Bird: for CAS, special operations, light strike. This thing is survivable, very cheap, fast etc.

Yak-130: imho the best trainer out there because of it’s combat capabilities. Can do strike, close air support and could be dedicated to destroying down those enemy helicopters.

Super Tucano ALX: for Basic training, COIN, patrol and helicopter hunting

Used E-2Cs: to be operated from land and the single aircraft carrier. (E-2 Hawkeye 2000 configuration costs 200mn new 😛 while to upgrade it to 2000 costs about 100mn)

SH-60F Seahawk: on to be used on ships, and the Aircraft Carrier for the ASW role as well as special operations, SAR, drug interdiction and cargo lift, this would also decrease operational costs as with the Blackhawk.
OR
S-3B Viking: for ASW, anti shipping, and many other things

H-60 Blackhawk: for utility, transport etc

Il-76MD: for transport and lift, important thing is that it has STOL and also can operate from all kinds of airfields, offers great capabilities

Il-78M: a great tanker, derivarate from Il-76, this also reduces maintenance, support and logistic costs by operating a very similar type of aircraft

Other optional:
-F-18C/Ds instead of Mig-29SMTs, either one
-if wanted an attack helicopter would take the latest AH-1 Cobras, or Ka-52 Alligator or porbably an attack version of H-60 Blackhawk(whichever) to reduce costs
-T-45 for Aircraft Carrier training, although land training could work
-C-130 and derivarates for Transport, Tanker duties etc, although Il-76 is very good and reliable
-S-300PMU or S-400 as a long range SAMs, although not needed it might be bought in smaller numbers and deployed only around cities etc. Tor M1s or Buk M1s could also be bought if needed but I’d rather waste money on fighters and other aircraft than on SAMs
-If money available get some UAVs possibly.
-Could have a hi/lo mix of strikers and fighters, like have a few very advanced fighters and then a lot of other strikers as bomb trucks.
