According to the Bulgarian News Network (BNN), Bulgaria is considering the purchase of used F-16s from Belgium. Bulgaria is in the process of aligning its forces along the standards of NATO, which it joined in April.According to the BNN, Belgian Army Chief of Staff Gen. August van Dale said Wednesday his country could sell a redundant frigate and several F-16 fighter jets. PArt of Belgium’s F-16 fleet has been placed in storage after budget cuts in the past decade. Gen. van Dale was visiting a Bulgarian air force base near Bulgaria?s second biggest city of Plovdiv.
