Currently being tested using .50 BMG, but no reason it couldn’t scale up from there. AC-130’s would be able to clean out a group of insurgents in a high speed single pass without the throw weight for flying the slow parabolic curve. Fighter jets could fire 5-6 round bursts with a high confidence of a kill. It should revolutionize anti-missile defenses, especially to protect tanks from ATGW attacks. Bullets will never be the same.
