Here’s quite a few photos from an excellent three busy days at Southend… The sun played ball most of the time as well!
Firstly the storms caused considerabe problems, and resulted in a few diversions. G-LCYD and G-LCYJ stayed at Southend on Friday night and departed early on Saturday morning:

On Saturday, EI-FAV also made an appearance:

Whilst very smart Icelandair 757 TF-FIY spent a couple of hours performing soem sort of test on the taxiway – in a perfect photo position of course!

A further surprise on Saturday was G-LCYJ diverting in, again. After departing Southend in the morning, it was running late on its London City flights so missed the Saturday lunchtime curfew. Once again the sun was out just in time: G-LCYD diverted in again too – but the photo isn’t worth posting!

And finally to round off Saturday, the Titan Airways 737 G-ZAPZ departed to Stansted on a post maintenance test flight. The sun wasn’t so obliging this time!

Sunday brought amazing weather and the departure of 4 diverted aircraft within 50 minutes, including a couple of Cityjet RJ85s – which are less common diversion visitors:

G-LCYD departing for the second time in the weekend!

And finally EI-RJZ departs:

Another (long) shot of an Arann ATR, making a customarily steady landing rounded another excellent day!

And finally today, Titan Airways 737 G-POWC was an early morning visitor for maintenance – once again the sun wasn’t very obliging:

Despite the poor forecast, the gloom did not last. The sun appeared just in time for TF-FIY departing to Manchester for a swap over after maintenance:

And finally, later on in the day, TF-FIZ arrived from Manchester for maintenance, really nice and low to Runway 24:

So all in all, a remarkable few days for Southend! I hope these are of interest.
