We’ve all heard the now classic “Lancasters buried in farmers field” yarn, but does anyone know where the rumour originated from or who?

Somebody please put on an airshow.
😀 😀 Looks like some contributors have gone through the angry stage of withdrawal and have moved into the “dribbling into their cocoa” phase.. Having not attended an airshow for 18 months, I’m in the “spending all weekend in a cold hanger and enjoying it” stages of the condition.

Silly boy, put the water pipe back where you found it
By: EN830 - 16th December 2004 at 21:43
Yeah I think I’ve found some sort of ordinance in our garden, about 4 ft below the surface, it is metal, possibly iron and round in profile. So far it’s about 4 ft long but seems to be longer, should I call out the local bomb disposal unit to investigate ?

Nick, did you find the data plate?
Might have done, what do you want it to look like.

I have just started digging a pond in my back garden and have come across what appears to be a box wrapped hessian. Should I be
1. Committed to an asylum for digging anything in this weather
2. Putting an add in Flypast offering to sell the information
3. Offering to book it for Legends.Answers on a postcard
