Burmese Oxford color scheme question: photo attached

Anyone care to comment on the color scheme of this Burmese Airspeed Oxford? I believe it was taken in the forties, and possibly is a light gray over silver, or silver over PRU blue, but I am not sure. Thank you for any suggestions and opinions, or possibly a source they may shed some light on the subject.

Thanks again to the chap who provided the photo on these pages.

Taken during the Battle of Irrawaddy, Burma 1948-49 nt

Do you know where this was taken? The chaps on the left appear to be digging a hole? 😀

Sorry can’t help with the colour scheme but UB-348 is actually a Consul delivered in February 1950, rather than an Oxford. Such an aircraft firing RPs must have been a sight to behold.

If the underside is PRU blue then I suppose the uppersurfaces could have been Medium Sea Grey which would have matched a current RAF scheme at the time

It’s a pity there is not a wooden crate that we could compare the colour to.
