We do like to keep ourselves busy at the Australian National Aviation Museum but yesterday was one of those days where everything seemed to happen all at once, but made for a great day overall.
First up was the Market Research Day. We had to get 60 participants to sample seven cuts of lamb and provide feedback for the Meat & Livestock Association. So aside from a free feed for the people taking part, the Museum was presented with $1,000 for its efforts.

Next up – a crew got to work installing the Gipsy Major engine on the Desoutter. This is getting closer by the week to being ground run for the first time in a very very long time.

The DC-3 was also worked on by a sizeable crew. Work continues on the panels around the cowls.

Our beloved Wirraway A20-10, the oldest surviving one, was taken off display and moved into the workshop for some overhauling. Watch our website on this one.

The Sea Venom Cockpit has been undergoing an extensive overhaul and is nearly complete. Few more parts added today.

Lastly the Vickers Viscount has been undergoing spraypainting in the interior. While I do not have any pics right now I can safely say the crew working on her have done a stunning job.
That will do I think, time to put the feet up for this week !
