Whilst passing Waddington I noticed a selction of heavy metal that included Swiss F/A 18’s,French Mirage 2000’s,Spanish F/A18’s,Belgian F16’s and,bringing up the rear,some tatty looking Tornado F2’s.
Couple of points:one of the F2’s had a 5 SQN fin flash-I thought they’d disbanded? and the F16b’s carried what looked like centre-line ALQ pods-would they have been part of the strike package being bounced by the 2000’s?
Lastly,one of the F16b’s had a canopy that had a gold coloured pilot’s panel and the rear seat had a clear panel-looked very odd.
