C-130 sized helicopter?

Dear all,
In the January edition of the AFM theres a small article on the US Army’s future transport rotorcraft. Cartercopter is proposing a C130 sized heliplane which is due to replace the chinook.
What the hell is this cr*p? Is it possible? Yes I know it is possible but I don’t believe theres any strategic use for such a giant. Replacing the chinook with this is surely incorrect as it can’t take place in a special forces mission, its just to god damn big.

Views anybody, any more detailed info?
