Folks,
I am in a debate with someone over an article about how the US is no making enough C-17s and it is proof of America’s weakness. I replied the USAF does not need any more C-17s and it is Boeing politics. Robert Dorr had an article where he explained why the C-5Ms were better for supply flights between the US and Afghanistan. He explained how the C-17 required a lot of tanker support. I seem to remember that the C-5M could make the flight nonstop with on in flight refueling and the C-17 required three to four. Does anyone remember that article and the gist of it. Any help appreciated.
