C-235 in USAF?

Hi!
This is my first post and i´m afraid my english isn´t very good (i´m spanish).I hope you can understand me.
I´ve been watching the movie Spy Games and when Robert Redford and Brad Pitt are talking in the Beirut Airport a turbopropeller aircraft appears in the background as an usaf transport. I,m not sure but i think that the aircraft is a CASA-235.I think so because i,m studying aeronautical engineering in Madrid, where that plane is built.In fact , one of my teachers designed part of the cockpit.
The question is: Does the USAF use this plane or is just that the producers didn,t find a hercules?
