Rough translation:
Lithuanian Air Force signed a small 75mil Euro contract for three Alenia/LM C-27J Spartan tactical transports. First one to be delivered within this year, second one in 2008, last one in 2009, replacing currently used An-26s.
So far the C-27J achieved following orders: 12 for Italia, 12 for Greece, 5 for Bulgaria plus 3 options.. Interest for aircraft of similar category has been expressed by Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Australia and Taiwan. Still the most serious programme for C-27J stays American JCA (Joint Cargo Aircraft) poll, listing orders for 145 tactical transport aircraft, including 70 for US ARMY and 75 for US Air Force.
