Does anyone know the identity and fate of the C47 that used to be visible from the London to Swindon train in the early 70’s?
The only reference I can find is in Wrecks and Relics eighth edition, which has it located at Chapelwick Farm near Compton.

Compton Beauchamp maybe? ‘Compton’ is undoubtedly not the correct/full location name.
