CAA allow UK civil-registered Hunters to fly again

Great news in principle, but I’m not sure how many are left….

Possibly but I”d be interested to hear more about an ” approved” alternative source.

Thank you for the confirmation so they will be able to have live seats

Seat carts can be obtained elsewhere and shouldn’t be an issue….

Flying a Hunter without ‘live’ seats is not really an option as a high performance jet. The escape envelope means bailing out manually is the last option. The CAA insisted that jets like this and the Sea Vixen etc had ‘live’ seats as a result.
Jep Provost and similar lower performance aircraft can be escaped from easier….

I think you just have a seat costing plenty of bucks with no BANG.
Surely you can fly the hunter with dead seats?

Won’t the lack of in-date ejector seat cartridges cause problems? I believe Martin- Baker have withdrawn support.

Why did the reinstatement take so long, it was clear a long time ago the basic airframe was not at fault?

Looks good, but I expect some will disagree.
