I’ve had very good luck with American…and no complaints with Continental and US Airways.
America West is like a bus with wings…far too crouded to enjoy the ride.

John, what i meant was on occasion i’ve come across rude and incompetent crews on other Airlines, generally i get a pretty good ride from these Airlines

I’ve come across a similar thing with American, America West, Continental and US Airways, so i think it’s a Universal problem

I wasn’t aware that Northwest Airlines had a contract to train other airlines cabin crews! 🙂

*For you that have never had the dubious pleasure, the U.S. carrier Northwest has an industry-wide reputation for surly, rude and generally nasty cabin crews….also some of their female attendents look old enough to have dated Lindbergh.
I was on a flight to Hawaii once and they started yelling at a passenger to sit down. Really yelling. Short tempers that bunch 🙂

Theres seems to be one on every flight. LOL

Well if I was on a plane somebody had hijacked, and it it looked like it was going to be crashed, I’d be the first person to grab an emergency pick axe/drinks trolley/chair and dive through the cabin door to deal vigourously Korean style with anyone in the cockpit who should not be there. It would be simply be pointless thinking twice about it. Come to think of it, the whole plane would be queing up for it. First class people would get the first go. Lucky *******s…

Trouble is who flies the plane after this, assuming the pilots have already been incapcitated?

Pity the fool….

I wound’t want to be the next terrorist that tries something stupid in flight. Today’s passengers are likely to really hurt them.
That Englishman that tried to light his shoe bomb was lucky he wasn’t lynched on the AA flight.
Adrenalin mixed with fear/anger will cause otherwise normal people to do something they normally woudn’t do.

About 5 years back passengers on a Korean Air 744 killed a man who tried to open one the the doors in midflight. Normally quiet people the Koreans, but that’s what happens to those who try to open doors on aeroplanes – you get beaten to death by emergency exit by your fellow travellers.

And rightly so. One life to save 300+ others. Although perhaps mild beating till unconcious would have sufficed

If the crew were drunk, sack them, the russians never did understand “the customer is always right” they’re the ones spending money you should at least treat them with respect.

With all due respect:

I work in the industry of “serving” customers.

Experience tells me, the customer is NOT always right.

However, for any flight crew, be it pilot, Engineer or F/A to be drunk is unacceptable.

Only the russians!
