Cabin Crew, lend me your ears. Part Deux

Does anyone know anything about the one day interview preparation course run by http://www.cabincrewcareers.co.uk ?

Is it any good ? Does it actually help to get a job? Has anyone here heard of it or been on it ?

Any info gratefully appreciated. 😀

My mate is cabin crew for Britannia/Thomsonfly and said its a waste of money is rubbish and if you want to be a cabin crew go direct via airlines not via these kind of websites or agencys and most people who do this course or go via these kind of website have been rejected by airlines already.

Ren, I’m inclined to agree with ABBaby.

Whilst I guess it can’t do any harm, I think most airlines prefer you to have spent time finding out about them, and to have shown the determination to get an interview using your own initiative.

Also as each airline has it’s own safety procedures and onboard products these courses have to be at best very vague.

Personally I’d use the £85 to cover the expenses of getting to interviews, as they often aren’t local.

Wish your friend luck from me, and if I can offer her any help drop me a PM.

1L.

ps: I believe BA are still recruiting.

Yes, your probably right at around £85 Ren.

The thing most airline recruiters want to see at interview, is yourself and your own personality. If your right for the job, whatever you’ve been told (and paid for the privilege) isn’t really going to make any difference.

I’d tell your friend to go along to a couple of interviews first, see how she gets on. They usually always group days, she just needs to relax and be herself. If she really thinks she needs advice, maybe thats the time to think about a cabin crew prep course. They’re only going to tell about the job and interviews at these courses. She can find that out without paying I’m sure.

Ren,

I know of the company who run this course. In my opinion, its not really worth spending that amount of money on something that you research via the net etc. There’s plenty of advice on interviews for crew on places like Pprune.

Lets face it, its designed profit to company running it, nothing more. I hear its still pretty expensive and your not likely to get through an interview any easier after having spent you money on one of these courses. I personally don’t agree with them.

Just my thoughts, feel free to disagree anyone!

Your thoughts are appreciated, a friend is thinking of doing the course so I said I’d try and find out a bit more for her.

It costs around £85 for one day I believe ?
