Recently had the pleasure of visiting the Commemorative Air Force in Midland Texas for their annual airshow. Numbers were down (crowds & aircraft) on previous years due to price of fuel & hurricanes which hit the gulf Coast. Still a great experience and we were made very welcome.
Thought you might be interested in a few pictures.
A couple of facts.
1. The A26 was based at Great Easton in 1945, which is just 5 miles from where I live.
2. ‘Fifi’ is 2 years (& 1m$) away from flying as she needs 4 new engines. However they are determined to have her grace the skies again.
3. Had the opportunity to fly in P51 ‘Red Nose’. It was an amazing experience
Must be doing something wrong as the piccies didn’t load even though it said they uploaded OK?Any tips??

Photos now loaded
Piccies now added, no idea why they didn’t upload the first time.
I can understand why, but the 300k limit is a pain when most of the photo’s start out at 1.5mb. Hence the extreme cropping on ‘FiFi’
