Friend of mine stopped in at CAF HQ in Midland recently…
B-29 is receiving attention in the cockpit, tail gunner position and outer wing panels.

Also the Shackleton might run again soon!

Blue Skies,
Dan

The Reno shack is about as much fun as the DC-7 that I saw Clay Lacy race in the Mojave unlimited race as a kid in 1970.OH MY GOD!

Any photos from the California 1000 races? A DC-7, A-26, P-38, F4U and Mustangs battle around the course!!! That would be interesting to see!

I’ve got one of the original posters hanging in my garage 🙂

Andy…. Since Gary was working in the same hangar I figured he would know if the Shackleton flew or not! So, yes… he gave me the news.

We’ve had an engineer and pilot out in Midland for a few weeks now working on Mr McHenry and it has indeed flown. I don’t know what is planned for its future though.
Tom.
What about a Reno entry……now that would be a hoot 😀 😀
