CAF P-51C crash today

Hi All,

Just saw over on the Wix board that the CAF Red Tail P-51C Mustang went down, it appears that the Pilot is OK.

Not good news 🙁

By the wording on some of the news reports i remained hopeful that he might pull through. I am very sad to hear that he has passed away. Judging by the pictures, it would seem that he tried his best to avoid the occupied areas and ultimatley payed the sacrifice. A brave man, rest in peace – you will fly forever now.
My thoughts are with his family and friends.

So sorry to hear this. After hearing that he’d been concious when the emergency services arrived, I was hopeful that he’d pull through. I feel for his family, and for all his colleagues at CAF. I can only hope and pray that CAF’s luck turns sometime soon, and that this is the last fatality we’ll have this year. 🙁

Very sad news indeed. I was truely hoping for an accident free display season on both sides of the Atlantic. My thoughts and prayers go out to the pilot’s family and friends at this awful time.

This is very sad news. One more loss for CAF. This was a nice warbird but such sad things can hapen when you fly it. 🙁 I hope the pilot can recover quickly from his injuries.
