Today at 14:40, a CAL 747 veered off the runway in EBLG. The plane came to rest at +/- 100m from the fence.
It was carrying 117 Tons of fich and flowers.
No one was hurt
If i can, I’ll try to take some pictures tomorrow.

it eneded up with the secondary runway being used for departures and arrivals – good job really as we had G-SSWB stuck out there!

Cargo Air Lines, the cargo division of El-Al.
The stranded plane is 4X-ICM.
It was removed from the grass this night, and will stay for some days on the runway, then be tracted on the military side, and will remainh there until repaired, or dismanteled. (At least one engine is damaged, possibly 2, and the left wingtip is damaged, and, according to the media, bent)

Either it took the taxiway too quickly, or it sled on water (it rained pretty heavily this afternoon), or it burst a tire.
And btw, when I see the CAL planes landing here, I fear that one day, i could see one, or at least spares from a very near distance… They don’t look very well maintained…
