Calling BA trivia fans…

Would I be correct in assuming that the Boeing 757-200 is the only aircraft, still in BA mainline service to have worn all three BA liveries (red tail, Landor and Utopia/Chatham) ?

Kind of one of those pub discussions… ?

Infact the 737-400’s were delivered in Landor blue colours before any 737-300’s were in the fleet. 737-300s coming from various sources.

Incorrect. The first 737-400 was G-DOCA registered in the UK in 1991. First 737-300 with British Airways was OY-MMP, subsequently G-CMMP, initially operated on the Danish register but registered in the UK in 1988 on lease from Maersk Air to British Airways (this one was the one I was wondering was in red-tail, but evidence suggests it was in Landor).

The only type I was wondering about was the 737-300

There were no 737-300’s in the original red colours. Infact the 737-400’s were delivered in Landor blue colours before any 737-300’s were in the fleet.

Comair do indeed operate 732s in Union Flag colours, but the original question was about “BA mainline”

The only type I was wondering about was the 737-300, but as far as I can tell BA’s first 733 – OY-MMP – was originally in the Landor/To-Fly-To-Serve colours

I would say you are correct in theory, but don’t forget that none of the current fleet of 757’s ever wore the red tail livery as they are all too new.

I think I am right in saying (and I’m happy to be corrected) that G-BPEC is the oldest 757 in the fleet now and is 1990 vintage.

(lol) Yes indeed 1L, I think all of the original 752’s (with the ‘Jewish’ Rollers) have moved along in the main to DHL? But my question is based more upon generics than specifics… 😉
