Camera Question ?

Anyone know a body price for the new Canon EOS 1-D MkII ? It’s got 8.2 mega pix and a guy in work reckons he saw a price of £800 for it. I think he’s been on the Moroccan Woodbines?

I just bought a Fujifilm S5000. If I was to hanker after another camera I think the wife might try to kill me.

But that is no DSLR. And you can´t put a 400mm lense on that camera.

And you really want to have at least 200-300mm for aircraft photography.

I would suggest the upcoming Nikon D70 at the moment. Best value for money at the moment.

How about the Sony F828? I have the F717 (plus a Pentax 555 because the 717 is so bulky). The 717 is a very good camera, about the 828 stories are told that it has some minor problems with the colors in certain light conditions, but I don’t know. F828 costs affordable USD1000.-

It is advertised here (in Holland) for around 4400 E. Which means that it will drop in price before the year is gone, and then I buy one. However, it is also possible that at the Photokina ( later this year), something higher (10MB), cheaper but slower(3bps) is introduced, so that is also an option. But for sure my 10D will be retired soon. BW Roger

Actually I have just looked and that one is 11.4mp… And we are talking SLR-type cameras which can take a variety of lenses – although you actually have to buy them since at this price it is body only!

Jessops Cannon EOS-1DS
I suppose if you px’d, blackmailed the shop manager, and also offered an additional £5000 in cash you might get the price down to around the £800 mark…
