Now that summer is finally approaching and better light what camera settings do you use .
I’m using a Canon 400D now.

Thanks, so pretty much what i usually do .I have a trip to Heathrow coming up in May so im hopeful of getting some sun:o and would hate to come home with poor quality pictures.

I have a 400D and like Manc I use it in TV mode, different people have different ways of achieving the same aim, just have a play with the settings be it TV or AV mode until you are happy. The beauty of a DSLR is that you can afford to play with the settings and shot lots of images.

I use TV mode and adjust the shutter speed accordingly, in bright weather the F number shouldn’t really matter that much, just ensure you shutter speed is fast enough to “freeze” the action.
However in bright sunlight using Av F8-11 you should be able to get a decent shutter speed.
Different ways of achieving the same outcome.
I stop down 1/3 – 1 depending on the sunlight.
Have a play with some test shots, maybe moving cars on the road, see what you prefer.
