If you want to go to war just do it.
You don’t have to make up silly ideas that IS is a threat to the UK as an excuse, or to make us all feel insecure.
(edited in case original post should cause offense, which was not the intention).

Fair comment. Original post altered in case it should cause offense.

Fair point. The size of the different protests is probably an indication of the size of the population that feels a connection to those being persecuted; Palestinians, Kurds or other ethnic group (plus of course, sharing a religion).

there is no point in protesting against IS (ISIS).
There is no point protesting to the government to take action?

The fact that tens of thousands of people went out on the streets to protest about Gaza, and a handful are protesting about this, shows that there is already something deeply wrong in this country.
Does it? Maybe it says more about those they are protesting against.
Protesting against Israel has a point, Israel is a government, Israel is also backed by the US government so protesting has a point; there is no point in protesting against IS (ISIS).

I’m sure all the “Trident Subs, Nukes, Typhoons, Tanks and lots of nasty savage soldiers with everything from Laser Designators to sharp sticks.” were a great comfort to Lee Rigby’s family.

Yep, and bending over backwards to be seen to be PC does not improve things. I see that Travelodge have removed bibles from their rooms to prevent giving offence, mark my words I predict race wars in the next 15 years in the UK.

What’s wrong is the enemy within, that is what is wrong. Somewhat belatedly, Dave has recognised that we have, for many years, been importing the ‘nuts and bolts’ that will constitute ideological conflict within these shores.
How will we recognise this enemy ? We won’t – at least, not easily. It might be easier to ‘throw the baby out with the bathwater’.

You can’t attack an ideology with Trident Subs, Nukes, Typhoons, Tanks and lots of nasty savage soldiers with everything from Laser Designators to sharp sticks.
The fact that tens of thousands of people went out on the streets to protest about Gaza, and a handful are protesting about this, shows that there is already something deeply wrong in this country.
