Good morning to everyone
A colleague of mine has brought these two wheel/tyre combinations into work today. He believes they are tailwheels of Spitfire/Hurricane/ or similar vintage. Is anyone in a position to either confirm or deny this. They have apparently spent a number of years supporting a welding set !! If they are genuine items do they have any real value. He is looking to retire soon and would happily part with them for a restoration project or whatever.

If any photo’s of an specific areas will help please let me know.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

My thanks to both of you.

Russ -they look on first appearances to be in pretty good order. Either contact one of the Spitfire companies or use EBay if he wishes to liquidate them!

Thanks Andy
The other one appears to be AH18551 – according to some web searching from Seafire XVII. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, do these have any intrinsic value for restorations or are they more a collectable?
Thanks again
Russ

AH 2184 = Spitfire tailwheel.
