We are trying to identify the unit of this venom. The photo was taken by Barry Flahey in Gütersloh around 1957. Thank you for your input in advance.

Wanted
This time no Venoms but Vampires… We need to know where these photos were taken: http://sg-etuo.de/Gesucht/Gesucht?userlang=en#vamp67 Perhaps anybody here remembers details that could help us identify the location. We do not think that those are at Gutersloh. Thank you in advance!

Thank you very much. Now we could add 94 and 266 Sqns to our list of units visiting RAF Gütersloh:

GYD: You are correct. A closer look at the nose marking shows it to be a bird, which makes it No.266 Squadron. Well done.

Hi All,
I’d agree with vampiredave’s assessment of the top 94 sqn Venom but, the badge on the nose on the lower picture (a flying eagle as opposed to a maple leaf), looks more like 266 sqn markings?? Cracking photos though!
Regards,
Martyn

The Venom in the top image belongs to No.94 Squadron and the [U]Venom[U] in the bottom image belongs to No.5 Squadron.

Isnt Barry Flahey a member on here ?
This is what I hope. I seem to have lost his email address.
Another »problem child« (we are not too sure about the unit) is the following Vampire. We think that this one might belong to No 71 Squadron. Also by Barry Flahey:
