Hi Andy, I believe that she would have most likely had the 1082 1083 radio fit?

Ironically, I don’t think this type of capacitor (really, I should say ‘condenser’, as this was the word used in those days!) was used in the A1134 amplifier. Am I correct in assuming this was the type of intercom amplifier used in the Manchester, it certainly was in the Lancaster. What was the radio fit in the Manchester – I’m guessing T1083/R1082 and/or TR9, or were they upgraded to the T1154/R1155. There are certainly capacitors of this type in the R1155.
Was Gee fitted?
This type of capacitor could well also have been used in the Suppressor Units used wherever there were DC motors, so in the fuel system, for example.
Whatever it came from, it was certainly smashed to smithereens for the capacitor to have come out!

Thanks Andy, could it be intercom related?

The second item is a silver-mica capacitor, made by TCC – used in lots of electronic units of the time.
