Can anyone help?

I am trying to trace an author by name of Capt. Pollard. He wrote several novels
before or shortly after the war. I have a feeling he fought in the first war ,possibly air force in France. I read his books in the early 50’s and would like to know more about him. Nothing on Google that I can find. …thanks in anticipation
