These were taken at the same airshow (North Weald?) as the 92 sqdn marked Scandanavian Historic Flight Mustang in the recent ‘Mustang question’ thread. Can anyone supply their s/n?

It saddens me to think that, in the 12 years since these photos were taken, not only have both of these Spits been involved in fatal accidents but also the RNHF Firefly and TFC P-38 also visible in the top photo. I am a died in the wool warbird fanatic but it really makes me wonder…

Top photo: Historic Flying’s first Spitfire restoration, MkXVI RW382, owned by David Tallichet. Crashed and destroyed in 1995.
Bottom photo: Tr9 PV202, owned (I think) at the time by Rick Roberts. This, of course, is the aircraft in which Norman Lees died in April 2000, and is being rebuilt in its Irish Air Corp configuration and guise as IAC161.
