Did you eyeball the thickness of the material or use a micrometer? Also give me a bit I have to convert your measurement to english. Most aircraft ( Skin ) Aluminum comes in .016, .020, .030, .032, .040, .050 and the you get into the big aircraft .060, .070, .080. and bigger. For Example The skin on a DC-8 is .070 while the skin on a Cessna is .032. Remember when using a micrometer to subtract a couple thousandths for paint and sometimes material thickness might vary a couple thousandths during manufacture. Also measure the pitch in the rivets or the spacing. Do you know your rivit sizes?

More info for you wrenchbender
the part in the first pic (left) is 1mm thick. the “Plug” itself is 2mm and measures 130 mm long / 80mm wide.
the three othe rpics show the second part with the “intake”. here the metal is 1mm as well. the holes you can see in the pic in the middle are 12 mm in diameter..

I have scrapped alot of Cessna’s and Pipers and it kind of looks like that but. The material looks a little thick in the pictures? What is the materal thickness? Also, it looks like there is a panel in the picture Oblong shaped?

Looking at the rivit heads they are AD rivits. AD rivits are 100 degree countersunk. During WWII they commonly used 80 Degree rivits which these are clearly not. What you have ther is a NACA inlet used for cooling radio air. And with the white paint I would guess the part you have there is fairly modern.
