Hi guys,
I was sent this picture last night via my mobile phone, so please excuse the quality! It’s obviously an aircraft instrument of some description, however after checking my own sources I can’t seem to find exactly what. All I know is that it’s American.
Any help on identifying what this is, and what it’s come from would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Expensive items, those J le C clocks. In our RAAF Canberras, I had the job of replacing normal securing screws with ‘break-off’ head screws: this to prevent them being half-inched.
Apparently they were popular for time-of-trip measurements in long journeys by car…
Bloody awful job removing the screws later when the clock had to be removed by yours truly, an instrument basher!

I think I’ve seen those fitted in US Navy aircraft.

That’s great thanks guys. I thought it looked like a clock but wasn’t sure because of the odd number arrangement. Any ideas what types this would have been fitted to? Looked at the Mustang and Thunderbolt and couldn’t see one fitted, so I guess it would be larger types?

Ah… the genius of Distiller… 🙂
Jaeger Le Coultre “Chronoflight”, 1942/43 I assume.

It looks like a Jaeger LeCoultre 8 day clock with 24 hour dial.
It may be USN or USAAF and should say so somewhere on it.
