This doesn’t seem to be prohibited in the FAQ etc (at least, I can’t find it if it is), so I’ll ask a PRELIMINARY question as I have yet to decide exactly what to do with the things!
Following a fire in my lodgings I nearly got a hernia trying to move my collection of Flypasts and another aviation magazine – both go back about 12 years, largely complete except for three missing issues of each in 1994, and mostly in well-read but fair condition. In boxes on floor so largely escaped effects of smoke – just need an air on a nice day. As I can only afford to rent a room it seems silly to cart them around the place.
Would anyone be interested, otherwise I’ll tie them up in years and spread them round Oxford’s charity shops… Assuming I don’t decide to keep them!

That’s an idea – let me sort them out. I’ll keep the email notification of this thread and when I have I’ll get back to you!

As an alternative, if you want to keep your magazines, I will happily store them for you in my office at home for a few years. (on the condition I can read and scan them while they are here)

Prices…
Well, I haven’t decided for sure to sell them yet and if possible I’d like to go through them and photocopy anything of particualr interest and sort them into years so I know what is what. Bearing in mind I have to move lodgings I doubt it will be until after Christmas now.
However I’m prepared to discuss reasonable offers, once I work out what on earth reasonable offers mean!. I should warn you that you may have to collect them – it will still be cheaper than postage as the weight is staggering. I suspect that there is over a hundredweight of paper there! (112lbs, if you are metricated).
And of course you were first….

Hello Adrian,
I am looking for some old magazines to help my research into Percival aircraft, but I am expecting that you’ll want a fair sum for that lot! What price are we talking for these?
Thanks,
Jon.
