Can someone help ID these ?
I photographed them at Fantasy of flight Museum last week and I forgot to ask the tour guides what they were.
One was located behind the main hangars and the others were located across the street in the other storage areas.
I am sure someone has asked on the forum before.

Blimp warfare is a much overlooked part of WWII. I must look into it some more.

Yes, they are definitely gondolas form US Airships, albeit stored upside down – was confirmed when we had a “backlot tour” of FoF a few years back.

That’s sorta what I was thinking but I wasn’t quite sure as they did look pretty funky….
Any idea what time period they would have been built and used in?
