The Avro Lancaster (from my home town) proudly restored and a cool plane to tour through.
A Plane which I thought was a Voodoo, but turns out not to be afterall. Any help here would be appreciated. I can post other views of it if necessary. ![]()

The legendary Memphis Belle was there and tours through the plane were available.
There were quite a few WWI aircraft there, the best picture I got of these was from an old Sopwith, not the Camel.
And lastly there was this really cool old prop driven beast, it was pretty huge, much larger than a P51. The colors and the exhaust coming out from the cowl was a nice contrast to the sky this morning. Again, any help identifying this would be nice.

Contrailjj were you at the Airshow on Saturday?? You seem to have some good personal knowledge of these planes.
Cheers,
SG
Unfortunately, no… my airshow season has to be rather limited this year. The knowledge part just comes from soaking it all up since I was child – that and doing a lot of air show promotion work (posters, programs, ads) over the last 14 years.

“Memphis Belle” Oil
BTW the oil on the cowling was not added for realism, the right side engine was leaking like a sieve. They had a oil catch mat on the ground under that engine by noon.

Actually that would be Dave Tallichet’s B-17G masquerading as “Memphis Belle”. The original airframe is far from flyable!

thanks, I wasn’t exactly certain on that – I knew it had been rebuilt from another version, just couldn’t remember which (and completely drew a blank on Tallichet’s name…)

Waterloo Wellington Aviation Day
Thanks for ID’ing those planes. I should have paid more attention when I took the shots this morning.
Thanks to Ravula for posting here so I could figure this out.
Cheers,

Avro Lancaster B.X (x as in ten) (Victory aircraft, Malton Ontario)
Canadair CT-133 Silver Star
B-17F
Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter (Great War Flying Museum, Brampton Ontario)
Hawker Sea Fury (Mr. Sandy Thompson – his personal run-about business aircraft)

The black 2seater jet is a T-33, and more then likely a CT-33 (an ex Canadian airforce trainer). They were built in the later 1950s.
The big radial engine fighter is a Seafury.
