Can you fly a 777-300ER..want to live in the land of sunshine??

V Australia, announced it would start a recruitment drive this week as it prepares to launch flights to the US in the fourth quarter. It will initially recruit 280 cabin crew and 100 pilots to operate the airline’s first three Boeing 777-300ER aircraft and join about 100 people already working on the project.

The airline has ordered seven aircraft to launch its flights to the US and North Asia.

It is initially looking at 10 services a week and is expected to announce launch routes, fares and product details next month.

V Australia says it has already received thousands of expressions of interest from experienced 777-300ER cabin crew and from within Virgin Blue’s ranks.

It has already recruited some senior pilots and chief executive Brett Godfrey said the airline would be contacting those pilots and flight attendants who had expressed on interest.

“There has been a lot of interest from throughout Australia and around the world due to the lifestyle opportunities of an Australian base, combined with the opportunity to be part of a completely new airline from the beginning and to crew one of the world’s best airliners,” Mr Godfrey said.

He said V Australia would be looking for a mix of experienced cabin crew and also people who may not have worked in the industry previously but who had “a vibrant, fresh and passionate personality”.

Application is in the post 😉

caaaardiff, you need the right to live & work in Australia, plus you need an Australian ATPL if you haven’t got one, you’ll need to convert your JAR license into a CASA license

Do you need to be an Australian resident to get the job, as CC or pilot?
