I was referred here from another forum.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to identify this B-25. It was from a group of family slides that I scanned in recently. My dad’s guess is that it was either in Upstate NY, Conneticut or in Pennsylvania. My dad frequented auto race tracks around that time, so it was probably between one of them and Long Island, NY, where my parents lived. I’m guessing the mid to late 70’s to early 80’s.
No particular significance, just seemed like a cool thing to come across. I remember going to the Windsor Locks air museum when I was a kid and seeing a lot of old airplanes that you could climb around, seems like a lot less of that stuff nowadays.
Anyway, any ideas what happened to this plane?
Thanks!
Paul

Thanks!
Thanks! That’s it. I’ll let my dad know. Not a member of the other forum but if someone can thank them for me, it would be much appreciated.
All the best

A slight correction…it’s a 71-73 Dodge Charger (the model the followed the 68-70 style seen in The Dukes of Hazzard for those of you that aren’t up on old American cars). The Challenger only had one body style (the E-Body) in its original 70-74 life.
The car next to it is a 69-70 Mercury Cougar.
And the helicopter is a H-34/S-58.
Back to business….
Somebody posted your query on the other forum…

A Red Hot Dodge CHALLANGER
I see the B-25… but it looks like a 1970’s bright Red Dodge Challanger sitting in front of that B-25 Mitchell ! Maybe used in the film ” Catch 22″ …. in need of some repairs I see… intresting photo for sure !
