Im very sorry for the poor quality of this pic.
It was taken at Kemble airfield last month using a cheap throw-away camera. I was stood 400 to 500 yards away on the main road and had to resize the pic. Im not too hot with the photoshop so if you can do better, i can email the pic to you.
Hopefully I will have more decent pics being developed.
The A310 C-GRYA on the right has still got ‘royals’ colours, and the other is C-GRYV

Understand the airfield falls on the Gloucester Wiltshire border, one side in each county.

The DC10 has gone,
The last I saw of it was all 3 pots had gone and a few cargo doors missing

Kemble is in south-west England, Steve. I think the county is Gloucestershire.

Where is Kemble????
By: pierrepjc - 19th August 2003 at 21:14
I was at Kemble yesterday, looks like the Indian A300 and one of the Canadain A310s is in the process of being broken up for spares?
The all white A310 ‘appears’ to be untouched only missing the port engine.

Leased aircraft perhaps????

Why did SkyserviceUSA have the Airtours colour scheme? From what I was told by other forum members, they were never affiliated.
By: kurmitz28 - 25th June 2003 at 20:28
From what I can make out, the DC10 was/is owned by Skyservice USA, it still has the Airtours c/s with Suntrips titles, operated by Ryan International.
Im sure if you look hard enough you may be able to find the Partridge in the pear tree! 😀

The DC-10 used to belong to Skyservice USA, if I’m not mistaken. I used to see it at SFO about 2 years ago. Why did it have the Airtours colours?
By: EGNM - 25th June 2003 at 14:19
alll of them are in storage – i think the American DC-10 is actually owned by Ryani International now. I hope the A10s find a good home, they are good a/c for the longer sector flights from regional airports, as the likes of PIA and Hapag Llyod have proved!

Kurmitz,
Does Canada 3000 still exists? i thought they went bankrupt
By: Ren Frew - 25th June 2003 at 12:25
I tried to sharpen one up a bit for you on my basic picture software…
By: A330Crazy - 25th June 2003 at 11:43
That DC-10 belonged to Suntrips.
By: kurmitz28 - 24th June 2003 at 23:59
This is also there, DC10 N57-1RY, it has all 3 engines removed.
Again I have had to ‘blow’ this up as it was too far away from where I was.

Have they found a new “home” yet. By this I mean have another airline taken them on?
Obviouslt the one with the Royal tail aint going no where… but the canada 300 tail one looks ok.
Cheers for the pic.
