On July 22nd, MERX issued an ACAN for kits to improve hot-and-high performance.
BLR out of Everett, WA has just fully certified their “tailboom strake” kits through a series of gruelling tests in Colorado. These kits can add an extra 6,000 ft of altitude to Canadian 412s and are praised by there existing 412 users.
Oddly enough these kits were prototyped by NASA back in 2001 with Canadian NRC Bell 412s.
