Hi all,
Took the train down to Pik today and turned out to be an awsome day. The sun stayed out all day and there were quite a few movments. The one that made my day was the Canadian Airforce A310 landing.
Enjoy the Piccies 😎 ….

Thanks for viewing.
In my opinion I think this is my best post yet!!.
Comments welcome

It was actully a divert from Eindhoven due to fog.
Right, so as the evidence stands we have a platoon of dutch/canadian squaddies awaiting clearance from clarence to vector victor over Eindhoven via Vancouver and the west end bars of Glasgow via Troon ?:D

It left Yesterday 19/12/06 at 1420 heading over the pond, the troops had been loaded on at 1100, so I would persume that they were Canadian
Kevin
Thanks Kevin, I guess you got that right and would explain the higher than normal amount of Canuckian banter in Glasgow’s west end on my birthday night out…;)

Looks more like their off to ‘Troon’ judging by the name on the bus they boarded ? 😀
The Canadian A310 ‘Polaris’ has been at PIK quite a few times and gets used amongst other things for trooping movements to and from the gulf and Afghan regions. I imagine these were UK troops home for christmas.
I believe one was used to transport HM the Queen to Canada for a state visit last year also…

Well James, I never new of this thing coing in until it touched down!. Although I did think that it was in for fuel. In actual fact I watched as it parked opposite the mound where we stand and 2 buses came. The next thing I saw were about 100 people come off in sandy coloured uniforms.
Here is a pic to let you see:Really strange to me…
Anyway thanks for the comments mate.
