Just been going through stuff for the Newark Aero jumble tomorrow and came across this which I assumed was some sort of post war item
Closer inspection though has revealed the parts number A76994-1 with CCF 29 stamped in a small circle. I’m assuming therefore that its a Cnadian Car Foundry part from a Hurricane?
I do have a Hurricane parts manual but can’t find a reference to that number. The item looks like a sun screen for a gunsight mount. Can anyone confirm this and has anyone got a picture of diagram of one of these in situ ?

This is the gun sight sun screen from a CCF made Hurricane. I have a picture somewhere that I’ll post. I’ve been looking for drawings to have one of these made for my panel project.

After a quick look I do have the part with the knob attached to it Stamped A77155, but I only have that part not the whole part as you have, I would say Hurricane. I would be interested but not going to the Aero Jumble. 🙂

This looks a bit like a Hurricane part to me, I have a couple of those type round knobs on the canopy catch on my project , or like the ones on the emergency panel in the canopy, the catch bit looks the same as well. Mr Dyer will tell you more I am sure.
