12:30 AM Eastern… A CF CH-149 Cormorant crashed during a winching exercise off the coast of Nova Scotia killing 3 crew members.

This is the first loss of the type in Canadian service – however the type does seem plagued by ‘issues’. With a fleet of only 15 – I’m already not liking the attrition rate.
Just wondering, does a ‘warranty’ system apply to military aircraft? These aircraft are not the same models operated by the UK – could it be that in efforts to reduce the price-tag, they became ‘Lemons’?
