i must admit the avro york photo looked good, are there any other avro Yorks still about or have the gas Axe claimed them?

Just to clarify the engines were recovered by a group out of the UK NOT CWH. They were a bit messy in recovery as in leaving props and cowlings scattered around. One would think that the undamaged props and cowlings would have been useful?

Sadly some of the native people accidentally set the plane on fire several years ago while sheltering inside.

Thanks for that Rich, the Canadian wrecks are remarkable for the good condition of the airframes (other than accident damage).

Fascinating, especialy the B-36s, shame there arn’t better pics of those.
