Anyone have information on the mods done to the exhaust collector ring on these RCAF Lysanders. I believe it may be for extra cockpit heating, to help deal with the very cold Canadian winters ( we’re already into another one. Today, it’s -25C at noon.)

I have recently come across a couple more photos showing the bulges on the collector ring.

Looks like one is for cockpit heating and one for carb heat.
