Dave Austin’s Spitfire 26 has been slightly damaged in a landing accident – apparently the undercarriage was not down properly. The airframe received minor damage – wing tips, port wing leading edge, undercowl and port gear leg took the brunt of the landing. Almost all of the airframe repair is done.
The prop and the prop flange were destroyed, but as soon as LOM sends Dave a new prop he’ll fly her again within a few days.
